Namibia: Roads and speeding causing lots of damages

Namibia introduced its new traffic accident statistics and shows a serious picture! The speeding on Namibia’s small roads plus the drinking – and – drive – problems causing Namibia a much higher “death per habitants” – quote than other countries.

The wide open and hardly busy highways offering a great speeding – possibility with the bad side-effect of loosing control or hitting the other traffic.

In my opinion Namibia needs to build more overtaking possibilities on their long highways especially to the coast – the ones in the capital destict are doing well but are not enough yet.

Additionally, there must be speed controls around the small cities you are passing through while following the highway… Hopefully this can make the namibian roads a little safer…

News: Apple Mac OS X finally a save OS

Apple’s Mac Operating System was always known as a save and easy to use System, but the reality was different. Apple was not really taking attention on the security isuees of the older releases. The System-Security was low in most parts and only additional Software made your system actually “better” protected against the internet world.

But were Mac Users ever under risk? For sure the main security problems are known from Windows and its just normal that most attackes were planed on the Microsoft’s system, because of its “main role” in daily business… So apple was behind with its security, but never “affected” of those security isuees.

With Mac OS X 10.7 the operating system really jump forward. The sandboxing feature and the memory controll protecting most parts of the Operating system from damages. Further information will be attached soon!
